Build A Seam Week 1

In our CQINovice group we are doing a weekly challenge called Build A Seam. Kerry started us off doing circles in a chain stitch, then we take and build on this seam. First I done the circles in chain stitch.

Then I added straight stitch to give it a thorny look.

Then I added bullion for the roses, fly stitch , and feather stitch. I will probably add beads or maybe some bullions on the feather stitching but I have the seam above it to do before I add those on. Looking forward to next weeks stitches.

This is looking good, is it a crazy quilt?

What a great class to do...to build up a seam like that.
Seams are my weakest areas of CQ and I love the build up on this one.
I am stuck on a Christmas round robin one as the lady used all patterned Christmas fabrics and it is so so hard to decorate.

Thank you Ozjane,,it can be difficult to do what you would like on a patch if it is to busy. I hope you find something that will work for you.
