Kitty Kitty Round Robin

I finished Kate's House Cats block today. I added the pretty iron on kitty and done the herringbone stitch with two strands of DMC floss. Hope she likes it. I thought the kitty went great with her other kitties on her patch.

Kitty Kitty Round Robin

I finished Rebecca's block and got it mailed to the next person in line. I done the cross stitched butterfly so her kitties can chase after it. And done the cheveron stitch in #5 perle cotton. I didn't fill in the rest of the patch, leaving room for others to work on if they choose to.

Kitty Kitty Round Robin

I just finished Lynn's Kitty block today. Her naughty kitty has taken a ball of yarn and had gotten it all over the seam of her block. I will be mailing it to the next person in line tomorrow. Got two more waiting on me. This has been fun.

KRR My Block

As you know if you have visited my blog I am involved in a kitty round robin. I sent two blocks out, this one went to Julie Coates, she is the first to work on this block. Isn't it adorable. Here is what Julie said about this piece:

Thelma, Just posted a pic of your block. I added a kitty who has been bad and playing with a ball of yarn and got it all over a patch after walking across a seam line. When he gets through with the ball of yarn he is going to chase the dragon flies away from the other seam treatment I added. Hope you like it.

Oh Julie, I do like it indeed. How creative you are!

First Round Robin

This is my first block I received from Sue Biles in our Kitty Kitty Round Robin. This is my first time of doing a round robin. I am a little nervous and excited too. I sure don't want to mess anyone's block up. So, here is the pic after I done my part to it.

I found some cat prints and I appliqued it down. Used the buttonhole stitch on that. Done the buttonhole wheel on top and boy was that something to learn. Thought I was never going to get it right. This was the first for me doing this stitch. Then I done feather stitching with french knots for little flower buds. Then appliqued the flowers on. Wanted to give the look like he was laying in a flower bed waiting for a butterfly or something to pounce on. I placed the ribbon on using the checkered chain stitch and on the bottom just straight stitches. Now time to begin on my next block which belongs to Lori Kinney. Will post before and afters when I get it finished.

Kitty Kitty Round Robin

In my CQforNewbies group they talked me into joining my first round robin. I got my blocks put together and they will be sent off to different ladies to let them put their stitches on. I went from being scared of joining to very excited. I can't wait! I will get two blocks a month to work on. I will post them as I receive them. This round robin is all about cats. This is going to be so fun!
