Hope everyone had a safe and fun Christmas. Can't believe the year is almost over. On that thought I want to wish everyone a very Happy New Year. May this year be filled with lots of stitching, dyeing fabric and whatever it is you love to do. I have joined a challenge quilt group with a bunch of wonderful ladies, every three months we are to work on a quilt based on a certain theme. The first one is winter. I will be adding a link to this on the sidebar so if anyone wants to see what we are up to you can visit our blog. I am going to have a busy year this year, sure hope I can stay caught up, I will be working on the challenge quilts, in my dyehard group (a bunch of wonderful ladies who love dyeing fabrics) I will be doing what is called a nesting round robin. This consist of making a center block, and then each month a different border will be added, all using our handdye fabrics. Then in my surfacing group, I will be doing a quilt and there is a list of different techniques we choose to use, this will be a great learning experience for me and can't wait to learn these techniques. Plus between the three dyeing groups I am in I will be doing swaps of different types..Plus I will be doing Sharon's Take It Further Challenge. So looks like I will be a busy bee this year, not to mention my learning stitches from Carole Samples Treasurey of Crazy Quilt Stitches. One of my goals for the upcoming year is to blog better. There have been so much I have done and not blogged....shame on me. Also on the sidebar I will put a link to my dyeing blog. I have decided to keep this blog with sewing, embroidery, etc and put everything dye related in my new blog. Wishing everyone the best for 2008.
