Dyeing Fabrics

Yesterday I played with some dyes. I done my Make Orange and Green for my swaps in my Dyehard Runoff group.

Make Orange: I used 1Lemon Yellow and 12 Light Red.
Make Green : I used 1 Lemon Yellow and 26 Sky Blue.

I tried my first piece of dyeing a motif. I wasn't sastisfied with it at all. I will have to practice some more. I used Pebeo Setacolors for this.

Lovely dying jobs!

The dyed fabrics are really pretty. Interesting how you go from one to the other end.

The motif looks nice, too. It's brighter colors, is that why you don't like it?

Thanks Samantha,
I am always excited when I dye my fabric to see how they are going to turn out.

Thank you Susan,
This was my first time of making a run. It is neat to see it how yellow and blue makes green. And how the last three shades of green you can start seeing the blue in it.
Yea, I think that may be what I think is wrong with the motif. It seems dark to me. I will get the hang of it though. (g) hopefully!

Wow! These are beautiful. I've painted fabric but haven't tried dying yet! These are truly stunning.

Thank you so much! I am so glad I have learned to dye my own fabric. You should give it a try, but let me warn you if you do you will be hooked. (g)
