I plan on taking Marjie's quilters palette class in April. She is adding one more lesson to this class so it will be a little more to it than previous quilters pallete classes.

Thanks Sarah! It was so much fun. I am addicted now. Been wanting to learn this for so long and was afraid to try. Glad I did now.
Thanks Carol,
I am so glad I got those done this year. Some of them have been in the making for a long time.
Very pretty - I've heard that once you start dyeing your own fabric, you quit buying the other kind... let me know if that happens to you!
Thanks Jeri!
I believe that will probably be what happens. I wanted to learn to dye my own fabrics so if I am working on a project I can make my own colors...Probably from now on the only fabric I buy will be what I use to dye with. LOL It is so much fun!
The colors look great, and the oranges still go together. What griege goods are you using? Just curious. I'm never going to dye my own fabric. =)
I use procion mx dyes . For the purple I mixed red and blue; for the orange red and yellow; for the green blue and yellow. They are powedered dyes. I just followed the receipe given in the class, and the lighter shades were put in the same dye mixture of each color after I took the first batch out. It looses its intensity on the second batch. I used Aurora muslin for the fabric. I have a bolt of P&B Dyers Cloth coming in this week to use. I hear you get better results with it . Can't wait.
